DIY Cast Iron leather sleeve

You asked for it, so here it is! Take a look in the Projects and Pictures tab. In the video labeled Cast Iron Leather Handle, I walk you through the process of making your own leather sleeve for your cast iron skillet. I would consider this project in the medium range regarding time and skill required. While some specialized tools are helpful, there are numerous ways to get around this. You will need: leather, ruler, sharp knife (to cut leather), thread (preferably waxed), needle (to get through leather), leather punch (used to make the hole from which you will stitch).

Have fun with the project, when you’re done, send me a picture or tag it with #diypioneerguy

Thanks
